Since 2024, Horizon Europe requires disclosure of AI use in proposal writing. Include a clear statement in Part B about any generative AI tools used and how outputs were verified.
Standard weighting: Excellence (50%), Impact (30%), Implementation (20%). Each criterion scored 0–5. Minimum 4/5 for Excellence and 3/5 for Impact & Implementation.
Most RIA/IA calls need minimum 3 independent legal entities from 3 different EU Member States or Associated Countries. Prioritise complementary expertise.
RIA funding rate: 100% of eligible costs. IA: 70% (100% for non-profits). Use direct personnel costs + 25% flat rate for indirect costs.
April deadlines for CL5/CL6 two-stage calls are for short proposals (~10 pages). Focus on concept, novelty and consortium rationale. Full proposals invited for Stage 2.
